Stories are the creative conversion of life itself into a more powerful, clearer, more meaningful experience. They are the currency of human contact.

our STORY

At Fated Light Films we believe in so called destiny or ‘fate.’  We believe that each of us have been created to change the world in our own little way and to be a light shining in the midst of a sometimes dark world.  Our destiny is to share stories.  Story and Video can be a powerful way to bring knowledge, inspiration, hope and connection.  Everyone has a story to tell but many don’t have the tools to share them with others.  Fated Light Films was founded to find these stories and to spread them to as many people as possible to inform, inspire, delight, motivate and challenge those who watch.

About the founder

Hello! My name is Chris and as a filmmaker it is my desire to tell stories. Ever since I owned a camera I have been making videos. It grew from something I did for fun into something I wanted to make a career out of.  As a graduate of the Motion Picture Science program at Rochester Institute of Technology I have a background in both the creative and technical sides of filmmaking. While my senior project was on Color Correction, I also had the opportunity to make a short documentary during my time in school entitled Part-Time Joe.

I love to travel and have been to 17 different countries. Before going to college I spent a year in Mexico with YWAM Mazatlan.  In 2017 while working for a non-profit called Global Awakening, I got to release my first feature documentary Witch City and the Children of Light. In the fall of 2019, I partnered with an organization called The Good Story to shoot a documentary called REACH in Bosnia and Serbia.

My work experience includes an internship at IMAX Post in Santa Monica, CA where I worked on films such as Man of Steel and Pacific Rim.  I also have a significant amount of experience in sports production having worked as an editor, producer and operator for RIT SportsZone, Time Warner Cable Sports Channel (now Spectrum Sports) in Rochester, NY as well as the Hershey Bears (AHL) and Rochester Red Wings (AAA Baseball).  I currently have a day job in Los Angeles, CA as a color management engineer for Technicolor.  Projects I’ve worked on recently at Technicolor include include The Call of the Wild, The High Note, Deputy, Station 19, WandaVision, and The Falcon and Winter Soldier.

I’m originally from St. Paul, MN. I enjoy traveling and love to tell inspiring stories that impact people in a powerful way. It is my hope in the future to continue exploring the world and telling its stories. Do you know of a story worth sharing? I’d love to hear from you! Please use the link below to shoot me an email.
